After seeing my recent CX500 adventure build online, Craig decided to use it as inspiration for his own build. In order to make progress on the project he called me up to come help for a couple days and knock some work out. This was such a fun experience and I am very grateful for the moto community who h...

Another classic motorcycle revived and back on the road! This is my 1974 Honda CB450 which I picked up a few months ago in a trade. I have always loved the 450 and 500 twins as I had built a custom one some years back and just love how they perform. This bike was in really good shape with no corrosion, no parts missing, and not locked up so it actually came back to life very easily! Look for th...

My Barn Find Honda CB750 FINALLY Gets A New Clutch!
Переглядів 18 тис.Місяць тому
My barn find Honda CB750 FINALLY gets a new clutch to replace the slipping original! After getting this bike running and riding I have ridden it over 3,000 miles which have been awesome but....only at 90% throttle as the original clutch would occasionally slip in 3rd and 4th gear at wide open throttle. It would also slip on bumps while accelerating. This was of course not ideal but never bother...

I Bought ANOTHER CB750! I Couldn't Say No...
*BEAUTIFUL CRAFTSMANSHIP ☆☆☆☆☆*
Thank you 🙏
I have been using zip ties to help change bicycle tires for years now.
Good job on the internals! Now about that cap latch and seal...
BJ rescuing backyard DIY'rs from ourselves 1 video at a time. Thanks bud! Quick question: I was given a tubeless replacement tire for my bike, but the current tire is running a tube: how hard is it to mount a valve for a tubeless tires and/or should I just put the extra tube I already have inside the new tire and use it like a tubeless tire?
This really depends on your wheel and if it's for tubeless or not. Mags are typically tubeless where spokes always have tubes
I must have missed something. What did he do to piss off so many people?
I upset them for not doing a concourse restoration like they feel everything needs. Instead I revived it mechanically so I could ride and enjoy it. They would rather it rot in the barn vs what I did for some reason
Awesome I want your life!;)😂
Mi love honda CB
Nice❤
🤘🤘
Buy removable zip-ties or learn how to pick the locking clip with small screwdriver or blade to reuse the whole zip-tie for future use. Cheers
Please check my pinned comment. The zip ties release became the singular focus of every single viewer unfortunately
@@BrickHouseBuilds LoL. Maybe it was that obvious or everyone is that cheap. :0 Hadn't gone through the comments yet. But since you mentioned which zips to buy, the releasing type are the ones to get. Thanks
Greetings von Germany :-). I give you a Like and an Abo. Please give the nice Dog a Bone :-) ^^
🙏🙏
Dont mind the mean comments. Like any backseat drivers, theyre in the backseat for a reason. Keep up the good work man. 👌👍
Lol thank ya!
The attention to detail makes me smile
🙏🙏
@@BrickHouseBuilds I've been watching you for a long time now you're the inspiration for me to actually buy my bike and finally start a cafe build. After wanting one since highschool
Its easy to unlock zip ties with a pic so you don't have to cut them.
See my pinned comment
Nice job salvaging the front brake parts and straightening those forks! On the 74 CB750 that I salvaged out of a shed my front master and caliper were similar and I just never thought to save them, so I replaced them with aftermarket parts. Really like that chopper! Hard to believe the stock pipes are still on there. Can imagine how many folks watching this channel would love to have those on their bike!
Oh the pipes are definitely the most desirable bit to say the least. While yes you can replace a lot of stuff for less time, I often like to rebuild when I can as the parts on the bike have a consistent patina to everything else.
From my hideout in S/E Asia, I get a very real sense of what you do to be replicated here, although not to your high standards. Local workmanship has always appealed to me, and they've kept my CB's alive and well, although a shortage of original parts means borrowing and adapting. It's a pleasure to sit and watch your work as the monsoon barrels in at 4:00pm
Well hopefully the videos offer a bit of an escape from that rain!
Great tip! And the silicone idea even better...
Should be helpful for you
Zap it with a 24v charger, it will look new inside the tank when your done 12-24 hours using just water, some people say add a little salt....
Water alone won't do anything as there is no electrolyte.
Will this work on the more modern tires like the Shinko 712's?
Of course
Whats up with Honda 6 in line?
Thats my CBX. I had started a restoration a couple years back and then multiple business and life changes happened which stalled it out. I am planning to be back on the project within the next month. ua-cam.com/play/PLerq_C5Llt2xSGwXYI6Jfpf9urToXvXZ2.html
K&L is the best!
if the vehicle is already registered in your name you can apply for a title in your name since you have the registration paper stating you own it. if you dont have it registered then you should have done it by now if you planned on driving said vehicle. for now vermont has reversed all of this. the state plans on implementing this sometime later bjt for now the loophole is still in effect
But there are people who ride that can't have a smile on their face, unless, they're riding the latest and greatest and will turn their nose up to someone enjoying an old school chopper. Nice job bringing it back and making it safe. KEEP ON SMILING AND RIDE SAFE OUT THERE BJ!
Great Love the old 70's chopper style
🤘🤘
I have a 1965 160 Honda I would like to try to find some parts for it like gas cap and just just a little stuff like filters for the carburetors
You take me to a body shop they will wash the gas out of the tank and they will mount it down to a table and they will put a g90 on it it's a welder it was a little bar on there with a claw goes on there and it's like a jerk ball it'll pull that dent out God had to do some grinding when they get done all that but it won't look that bad when they get done with it you won't believe how it looks it looks like a brand new tank you had to repaint that tank
I'm not interested in repainting though.
Good job on the forks BJ.
Thank ya
I'd be more worried about the chrome plating being worn off the fork tubes than the bend. That's going to just chew up those new fork seals.
Yup, no other option here. We did sand then wet sand down to 3000 grit though to get them level and smooth.
The content is so much better when you add some adventure. Now do a grand on them after a wee makeover.
We love this stuff so definitely much more to come
very cool
🤘🤘
You have a vapor blaster!?! I want one.
It's a recent addition and super nice to have
A little help, have a 1984 Honda VT750 which I have been getting back on the road, have replaced the front tyre as was perished , the back tyre isn't perished but is 11 yrs old, should I replace it ??
Loved this!
🙏🙏
Impressive job on the forks!
Thank ya!
Steppenwolf dude. at least 4 bars.
I am not a chopper guy but that thing is cool
It may not be everyone's style but I love it for the character
I've riding bikes for over 40 years now and have never ridden a chopper, actually never even ridden a bike with ape hangers for that matter. Probably never will, but would be fun to try. rsm8
It's a fun experience. A different riding style and feel completely
I love this old school chopper. Can't wait to see a road trip with it!
It will be fun!
I would suggest a 4 into 2 exhaust.
I would like one but this will stay how it is
Greal lookin chopper Mr BJ, didn't see Clyde on the back🦍
It’s not really a full on chopper with that rake, but none the less it’s a very cool old bike 👍🏻 I wonder, why didn’t you guys clean the rims and spokes on it? I like this style video BJ, you were right 🫵🏻👍🏻😁
I never do stuff like modifying my gas tank at home, that's what the field behind my house is for.
this worst ugly wrong handlebar need take off and fight to trash and add genuine style bar. only idiot use this style ugly worst bar.
Lol you're so upset at my video, my solid proven methods, and this bike. You need a hug dude
totally amateur bleeding system, lot better use vacuum pump and bottle sure all air suck out off system , lot easy and lot fasten and sure safety system than old style manual shit bleed.
You really dislike me don't you? I couldn't possibly do something to your standards yet I'm out here doing work and you're behind a screen trying to tell others how it should be done.
Where do you get the start switch? I'd like to install one on my Sportster and possibly my KZ 750 chopper
It's a generic button. Nothing fancy
@@BrickHouseBuilds I found a bunch online, ordered a pack of 5 LOL
Lol. That thing screams 🎶"... Borrrrrn toooo beeeee wiiiillllddd!!!" 🎶
100%
Great job BJ that front brake system was a real mess 😊
It must been in the shade for a long time 😲 you think 🤔
It was indoors
The custom version was nicer, better handling than the normal cx but less popular due to price. It was £1320 in 1979 and the normal was £1120. Even now, it's a fantastic soft tourer.
You should have cleaned the wheels when you changed the tires.
Sorry
the coolest motorcycles to convert into Cafe Racer.
CB750s in general make a great cafe. This will stay as it is though.
